The United States of America has ended all aid to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, saying the organisation “irredeemably flawed“.
The US, which has been the single-largest donor to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian refugees, said it wasn’t willing to “shoulder the disproportionate share of the burden”.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency at present supports approximately million Palestinians in Gaza, the West Bank, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon.
Countries in European Union have promised to guard the agency and Germany assured a substantial increase in financial support.
