The United States defence Department on 1st of September announced withdrawal of $300 million in aid to Pakistan over its failure to fight terrorism.
According to an article published in Reuters, Pentagon spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Kone Faulkner said. “due to a lack of Pakistani decisive actions in support of the South Asia strategy the remaining $300 (million) was reprogrammed.
US President Donald Trump‘s administration has constantly accused Pakistan of providing safe havens to terrorist groups.
Pakistan has received over $33 billion in U.S. assistance since year 2002, including more than $14 billion in Coalition Support Funds (CSF).
