Apple CEO Tim Cook says he’s not a pro-regulation kind of person.
In response to a question on whether data collecting firms should be controlled for Data Privacy, Apple Inc. CEO Tim Cook replied saying “I’m not a Pro-regulation kind of person.”
He was quoted saying in a new interview with VICE News Tonight on HBO, “I am not a pro-regulation kind of person. I think some level of Government Regulation is important to come out of that.”
Speaking about Apple not establishing detailed profiles of users, so that other businesses can bargain the opportunity to target them, Cook said, “It’s not the business that we’re in.”
Cook was made the Apple CEO on August 24, 2011, prior to Steve Jobs’ death in October of that year.
During his tenure as the CEO, Cook has supported for the political reformation of international and domestic surveillance, cyberSecurity, corporate taxation, American manufacturing, and environmental preservation.
