Shopify CEO says “Amazon is the Most Powerful and agile and probably ambitious company in the world.”
Amazon is the biggest threat to every business on the planet, he said.
In response to a question being asked how immense a threat Amazon is to Shopify, Tobias Lutke, the Chief Executive Officer of Shopify has said, “Amazon is the biggest threat to every business on the planet.”
During an interview with Bloomberg at tech conference in Toronto, Lutke said, “Amazon is the most powerful and agile and probably ambitious company in the world.”
Lutke also said the company is ready to welcoming the competition.
He further said he’s confident in Shopify’s ability to adapt competition.
Shopify is a Canadian e-commerce company headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario. It is also the name of its proprietary E-commerce platform for online stores and retail point-of-sale systems.
The company has more than 600,000 merchants using its platform as of August 2017, with total gross merchandise volume exceeding $55 billion.
