Footballer Rohit Danu became the youngest goal-scorer in the men’s professional football league I-League after serving his side win the match against Aizawl FC.
Danu, aged 16 years, five months and 27 days, beat the earlier record of Arrows’ Jitendra, who was of 16 years, six months and 13 days when he scored against Shillong Lajong on December 26, 2017.
The 16-year-old scored in the 14th minute against Aizawl FC at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium.
Rohit Danu currently plays as a forward for the Indian Arrows.
