Maharashtra State became top on the list with 82 Sexual Harassment complaints.
The Uttar Pradesh and Delhi came in 2nd and 3rd spots with 65 and 50 sexual harassments complaints respectively.
India’s Women and Child Development Ministry has developed an online complaint management system titled Sexual Harassment electronic–Box (SHe-Box) for registering complaints related to sexual harassment at workplace by women, including government and private employees.
Once a complaint is submitted to the SHe-Box portal, it directly reaches to the concerned authority having jurisdiction to take action in the matter.
According to Women and Child Development Ministry’s statement released on 29th November, a total number of 203 cases have been disposed off so far which includes cases under Central Government, State Government and Private sector.
The SHe-Box portal has been developed with the objective to facilitate the registration of complaints related to sexual harassment of women at workplace.
According to the data, the Maharashtra State became top on the list with 82 sexual harassment complaints.
