Indian engineering company Escorts Group has recently revealed the concept of India’s first ever driverless tractor that primarily aimed at precision based agrobusiness.
Escorts teamed up with seven major technology-based companies including Microsoft, BOSCH, WABCO, and Reliance Jio for their expertise and backing.
The association is expected to build a series of farm machineries with electric transmissions, self-directed applications, remote vehicle supervision, data-based soil and crop management, and sensor-based steered farm applications.
Nevertheless, the company has not confirmed the level of autonomy the tractor will engage.
Escorts Group primarily functions in the sectors of agri-machinery, construction and material handling equipment, and railway equipment.
The company has marketing operations in more than 40 countries.
