It is located in Goma, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo which faces some of the toughest development challenges. Virunga is home to about a quarter of the world’s critically endangered mountain gorillas and four million people live within one day’s walk. Virunga could become an engine for green growth and transform the region with access to energy, Infrastructure, jobs and higher income.
