The tremendously anticipated Foreign Trade Policy 2015-20 was uncovered by India’s Commerce & Industry Minister Mrs. Nirmala Sitharaman, at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.
The new Foreign Trade Policy(FTP) will mainly concentrate on advancing service exports and offering fillip to the manufacturing sector as a part of the government’s ‘Make In India’ campaign.
The focus of the new strategy is to backing both the manufacturing and service sectors, with an exceptional accentuation on enhancing the ‘ease of doing business’.
As part of the new FTP, two New Schemes – “Merchandise Exports From India Scheme” And “Services Exports From India Scheme” introduced
There were different forces shaping India and its equation with the rest of the world, Mrs. Sitharaman said amid her address.
Mrs. Sitharaman urged the Government and industry to work in pair to deal with the difficulties postured.
The new policy to boost exports, create occupations while supporting ‘Make In India’ and ‘Digital India’, Commerce Minister said.
The new policy will also focus on pharma, environment-friendly products and value added exports. Govt will proceed with motivating forces for units located in SEZs and promote e-business with spotlight on job making divisions, she added.
