Communications Compatibility and Security Agreement (COMCASA) will facilitate access to advanced defence systems and enable India to optimally utilise its existing US-origin platforms.
The United States and India began a new era of military and Security cooperation by signing Communications Compatibility and Security Agreement (COMCASA).
The brand-new deal will empower India to access advanced technologies from United States. In cooperation the countries also committed to work on regional and global issues.
“They welcomed the signing of a Communications Compatibility and Security Agreement (COMCASA) that will facilitate access to advanced defence systems and enable India to optimally utilise its existing US-origin platforms,” a joint statement delivered.
The bilateral exchange of ideas was attended by U.S. Secretary of State Michael R. Pompeo and Secretary of Defense James N. Mattis and their Indian counterparts Sushma Swaraj and Nirmala Sitharaman.
