The Election Commission on February 22 said that there had been a steady rise in the number of service voters ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
He further added that a total of 16,62,993 service personnel had been enrolled as service electors in the country in the final last part of electoral roll-2019.
He also said that the figure was 13,27,627 in 2014.

According to the Election Commission, the process of summary revision of last parts of electoral rolls regarding January 1, 2019, as the qualifying date has concluded with the final publication of last parts on February 22, 2019. He further added that a total of 16,62,993 service personnel had been enrolled as service electors in the country in the final last part of electoral roll-2019.
He also said that the figure was 13,27,627 in 2014. This rise in the number of service voters has been due to the Commissions all-out efforts to maximize the registration of service electors during summary revision 2019 and active cooperation of the services/departments.
