Actress-turned-politician Jayaprada surprised many from political and film circles by turning up at Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s camp office in Vijayawada.
While the meeting was still going on, rumors started that Jayaprada could rejoin TDP after quitting the party over a decade back. It may be recalled that Jayaprada quit TDP following differences with senior leaders.
Next, she shifted her base to Uttar Pradesh and joined Samajwadi Party. After 10 years of association with SP, last year, she parted ways with the party along with her mentor Amar Singh.
With this, the politically idle Jayaprada was rumored to be returning to the TDP. However, the actress-turned-politician, after her meet with Babu, said that she met him only to invite him to her son’s upcoming marriage.
She added that she did not discuss politics with Chandrababu and she met him only to extend the marriage invitation. With the clarification from Jayaprada, the rumors of her joining TDP proved to be false.
Another theory is that Jayaprada indeed has discussed politics but not disclosed it to media.
