Adding to the woes of Indian National Congress days before the General Elections, Sonia Gandhi’s close aide and senior leader Tom Vaddakkan joined Bhartiya Janta Party in the wake of getting ‘hurt’ upon party’s stand on who will be given charge of the party to cause a tectonic shift during the upcoming elections.
Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad made his joining official by felicitating him with the party’s official scarf in a media conference in Delhi.
On asking about the reasons for the decision, Vaddakkan said Congress’s reaction to attacks carried out by Pakistan-based terrorists was sad.
