Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday (Jun, 9) set up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to expedite probe into the high profile Corruption related cases including the irregularities in Agusta Westland deal and alleged loan fraud by businessman Vijay Mallya.
According to reports, the SIT will initially look into the cases like the VVIP chopper scam and alleged bank loan fraud by Mallya.
The CBI had already registered an FIR into the VVIP chopper deal on the basis of some important documents that it had obtained from Italian probe agencies in connection with the alleged payment of kickbacks by the AgustaWestland to bag the deal.
