The Facebook-owned photo-sharing application Instagram has added a search bar to its web page, and users will be able to search by accounts, locations and hashtags -just like the mobile version of the app.
As understood the update, the users can search for anything from hashtags, locations and usernames right from the desktop.
Though you still can’t post to Instagram from the desktop, being able to search the Social Network should go some way to making the service more practical when you’re not on your Smartphone.
Instagram is furthermore improving the landing pages for hashtags and locations so that whenever the users click Tags and locations, they will notice a web page with the most popular results placed on top of recent pictures.
The update is unveiled around the world.
