The country’s most significant car maker Maruti Suzuki India has experienced flat sales.
The Indo-Japanese carmaker had a marginal decline of 0.8 percent in its February sales.
n February 2019, Hyundai, Mahindra and Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki had faced a decline in sales whereas Tata Motors, Honda Cars India has observed a rise in sales.
The country’s most significant car maker Maruti Suzuki India has experienced flat sales for over eight months due to upcoming elections of 2019.
The Indo-Japanese carmaker had a marginal decline of 0.8 percent in its February sales. The exports of sales reduced to 9,582 units against 11,924 units in February 2018. The total sales fell to 148,682 units against 149,824 units.
In India, Maruti covers around 50% of the car market besides Hyundai, Mahindra and Mahindra, Tata Motors and Honda Cars in India.
Alto and WagonR the entry-level segments faced a decline in sales of units by 24,751 against 33,789 units in February 2018.
The compact segments like Swift, Baleno, Dzire, Celerio, and Ignis supported the company with sales of 11.4 percent to 72,678 units against 65,213 units in February 2018.
Robust growth was seen in the van segment from 12,425 units to 14,565 units this year.
Besides, the sales of other vehicles like Gypsy, Ertiga, S-Cross and Vitara Breeza have increased to 21, 834 units as compared to last year.
In February 2019, Hyundai, Mahindra and Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki had faced a decline in sales whereas Tata Motors, Honda Cars India has observed a rise in sales.
