According to latest reports, the magistrate court on Monday gave a last chance to Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan to appear before the court on the following date of hearing in a 2012 restaurant assault case.
On March 19, the court had directed Khan to stay present on Monday as the first witness, but he failed to appear before the Court due to his abroad trip.
However, Saif Ali Khan’s lawyer on Monday filed absolution application saying the actor couldn’t make it as he was shooting abroad in an ad film.
As understood the latest developments, Judge Shankar Dabhade issued him a last opportunity to appear before the court. If the actor fails to be present at the next hearing, a warrant may be issued against him.
The following hearing would be on June 18.
A complaint had been filed against the actor and his two friends (Bilal Amrohi and Shakkel Ladak) by Iqbal Mir Sharma, a businessman on February 22, 2012.
