The results of Bihar Assembly elections are out recently. The Grand Alliance of the RJD, JDU and Congress outsmarted the NDA alliance with a huge margin. Keeping aside the causes for shameful loss of BJP, it seems that the Bihar voters have chosen many corrupted leaders like Lalu Prasad Yadav.
It will send a shivering spike across the veins of readers when we say that that as many as 1,000 candidates that participated in the polls have criminal cases pending on their names.
Of the 243 seats that Grand Alliance contested for, 142 fielded members have criminal cases on them. Surprisingly, of the 142, Bihar voters made 100 emerge victorious. BJP is no less as 139 candidates with criminal history contested in the polls and 37 won the seats.
So, around 140 candidates with criminal history have become public representatives in the state, which is known as the most lawless state in the country.
As soon as Grand Alliance won the polls, many have started calling the future of Bihar as ‘Jungle Raj’ and ‘Goonda Raj’.
