PepsiCo’s former CEO Indra Nooyi has recently joined Amazon’s board of directors said the online retail giant.
Before her, Starbucks executive Rosalind Brewer has also joined the Amazon Board.
According to Amazon, they’re thrilled to have elected two new members to their Board of Directors this month. They also welcome Rosalind Brewer and Indra Nooyi.
PepsiCo’s former CEO Indra Nooyi has recently joined Amazon’s board of directors said the online retail giant. Ms. Nooyi stepped down as CEO of Pepsico in October 2018. She is not the second woman of color to be added on Amazon’s board of Directors. Before her, Starbucks executive Rosalind Brewer has also joined the Amazon Board.
Ms. Nooyi will be a member of the Audit committee. She was serving as PepsiCo CEO from October 2006 to October 2018. Also, she served as the chairman of its board of directors from May 2007 to February 2019. She was elected to PepsiCo’s board of directors and became its President and Chief Financial Officer in 2001.
She was responsible for leadership roles in finance, corporate strategy and development, and strategic planning after joining PepsiCo in 1994 and was also a director of Schlumberger Limited since April 2015.
