Superstar Rajinikanth has been bestowed upon with the prestigious Padma Vibhushan award by the President Pranab Mukherjee.
The actor was felicitated today at the Rashtrapathi Bhavan in New Delhi for his valuable services to the film industry. It is a proud moment for the humogous fan base of the matinee idol, who also is kwno for his simplicity, down to earth nature and larger than life stature.
Priyanka Chopra was conferred with Padma Shri while ace Tennis player Sania Mirza and star badminton player Saina Nehwal were awarded Padma Bhushan.
