The Bharatiya Mahila Bank with FIVE major associates merged with India’s Largest Bank and World’s one of the top banks State Bank of India (SBI). With this step, SBI is all set to enter Top 50 Global Banks league.
State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur, State Bank of Hyderabad, State Bank of Mysore, State Bank of Patiala and State Bank of Travancore, further Bharatiya Mahila Bank merged with State Bank of India.
With this development, the overall customer base of the SBI will touch 37 crores with a branch network of about 24,000 and closely 59,000 ATMs throughout the nation.
Welcoming all the investors of merged units, State Bank of India Chairperson Arundhati Bhattacharya stated “the bank will strive to conclude the transition process within a quarter.”
