Odisha government has stated the implementation of the central scheme Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) that was launched by PM Modi a few days back along with the beneficiaries of the state government’s own KALIA scheme.
The Kisan scheme will be formally inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a two-day farmers’ conclave at Gorakhpur on February 24.
The project promises Rs 6,000 per annum in installments to small and marginal farmers with land holding up to two hectares.

According to Odisha Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi, the small and marginal farmers who are in the first phase of the KALIA scheme will be covered under the PM-KISAN programme.
