The hottie was the other day present for the HT Summit held in New Delhi and responded when she was questioned about objectifying women in Bollywood and the importance of item songs in films.
Kareena said that women are not objectified in Bollywood. As per her, those who comment against item songs are hypocrites as hit item numbers like ‘Baby Doll’, ‘Chikni Chameli’, ‘Fevicol Se’, ‘Shiela Ki Jawani’ etc are played at every party and weddings.
Kareena questioned if people hate item songs, then why do they play them at their weddings and every celebratory event? Kareena added that item songs aren’t disgraceful but the hypocrites who complain against them are.
Kareena Kapoor’s point of view must be an eye-opener for the hypocrites aka haters of item songs. It is an undeniable fact that deep down, a large section of Audience like item numbers but try to degrade them in open.
