ISIS leader al-Baghdadi killed himself by detonating a suicide vest during a United States special Operations raid in Syria’s north-western Idlib Province.
The United States President Donald J. Trump on 27th of October confirmed that ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has been killed in a United States operation in Syria saying he “died like a dog…he died like a coward“.
“He (Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi) will never again harm another innocent man, woman or child. He died like a dog, he died like a coward. The world is now a much safer place,” Trump said during a press conference.
Since 2016, the U.S. State Department has offered a reward of up to $25 million for information or intelligence leading to Baghdadi’s capture or death.
