Indian IT industrialist and the co-founder of Infosys N R Narayana Murthy has recently said that emerging technologies such as AI (artificial intelligence) won’t render people jobless in the future but produce more jobs.
Murthy believes that advanced technologies including AI, machine learning, and Big Data analytics help make lives even more comfortable.
Taking the countries such as US, UK, and Japan as an example, Mr. Murthy said, countries that absorb technologies more actively, have reduced their unemployment much more than the nations which didn’t.
Infosys co-founder also said that AI is an important contemporary area of computer sciences.
Murthy has been listed among the 12 greatest entrepreneurs of our time by Fortune magazine.
Murthy has been described as the “father of the Indian IT sector” by Time magazine due to his contribution to outsourcing in India.
He has also been honoured with the Padma Vibhushan and Padma Shri awards, one of the highest civilian honours of India.
