India ranks 2nd on the list of countries having infected Android devices, said Cheetah Mobile, a Chinese mobile tools provider.
According to the global Security report of Cheetah Mobile, extensive use of third-party applications is the main reason behind the Smartphones getting affected by malware. The number of Android viruses with malware stands at over 1.1 million in India in 2015, a growth rate of 22 percent, the report said.
China, India and Indonesia are the three most severely affected countries. The report revealed the number of affected Android devices exceeded 9.5 million in 2015 compared to 2.8 million in 2014.
The company’s annual security report focused on virus infections in Android devices all over the world. This report is based on the cumulative data based on 567 million monthly active users of Cheetah Mobile’s security applications on their devices.
