The much awaited India-Pakistan Cricket Series might soon happen as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) took the first step by officially inviting Pakistan to play a series in India in December, 2015.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shaharyar Khan confirmed this development and added that BCCI Chairman Shashank Manohar called up him to inform about Indian Government’s clearance for India-Pakistan series.
Last year, BCCI and PCB signed an agreement to play six series from 2015 to 2023. According to the contract, Pakistan was supposed to host the first series in December this year in UAE.
However, BCCI demanded PCB that the series must be held in India. BCCI assured to PCB that hefty Security will be provided to Pakistan Team in India and matches will be held at places where there will be no disturbances from political parties.
But PCB is firm on playing the India-Pakistan series in UAE only. A final call will be taken by PCB after consulting the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
