The purpose of the event called “Towards a Vibrant, Efficient and Globally Competitive Indian Steel Sector” was to bring all stakeholders together to deliberate on a roadmap for making Indian Steel Sector more vibrant, efficient and globally competitive.
Indian Ministry of Steel has recently organized an event called “Towards a Vibrant, Efficient and Globally Competitive Indian Steel sector” and concluded the event on 23rd of September.
The purpose of the event was to bring all stakeholders together to deliberate on a roadmap for making Indian Steel Sector more vibrant, efficient and globally competitive.
Minister of state for Parliamentary Affairs and Heavy Industries & Public enterprises Arjun Ram Meghwal was the guest of honour on the occasion.
In his address Meghwal said, that steel being a core sector has to play an important role in realising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of $5 Trillion Economy .
He also stated that quality of steel determines the quality of products of all major sectors consuming steel as raw material, especially heavy engineering goods.
He further said, “to manufacture highest quality of heavy engineering products, highest quality of Steel is required. Thus, growth of Indian Steel Industry in terms of quality, efficiency and production capabilities is critical for the growth of Heavy Industries.”
Speaking on the occasion the Minister of State for Steel Faggan Singh Kulaste said that we are committed to facilitate production capacity augmentation, enhance steel consumption and Technology infusion in steel sector.
