India is a high-tax country, US President Donald Trump claimed on Saturday, expressing that he needs a comparative assessment or if nothing else some duty.
“India is a high-tariff country. They charge us a ton,” Trump said in his address to the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in the Maryland suburb of Washington DC.
Trump touched a broad scope of issues including local, Worldwide and respective association with nations like India in his discourse that went on for over two hours.

Referring to his often-cited example of the notable Harley-Davidson bikes, he stated, “When we send a motorcycle to India, it’s a hundred percent tariff. They charge 100 percent when India sends a cruiser to us; we brilliantly charge them nothing.”
He further asserted that he wants a reciprocal tax or at least, he wants to charge a tax which is called the mirror tax, but it’s mutual.
