It is a pride moment for India, as statue of Indian mathematician and astronomer Aryabhata was unveiled at UNESCO. India’s Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani and UNESCO Director General Irina Bokova unveiled the Aryabhata’s statue in Paris, a famous ancient Indian mathematician and astronomer.
“We pay homage to great Indian mathematician Aryabhata’s profound contribution to humanity-thank you to Government of India,” Irina Bokova said in a statement.
