Expanding its business operations in world’s largest economies, Hyundai Motor Co, the world’s fifth-largest auto maker, and its sister organization Kia Motors Corp are expanding their focus on Indian market.
Hyundai Motor Group today (19th May) expressed its longing to expand its business into sectors like construction and railways in India, where it is right now the largest exporter of cars.
Mong-Koo Chung, Hyundai Motor Group’s Chairman met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to exchange thoughts on Korea-India car industry participation and mutual development.
“Hyundai Motor’s Chennai plant is an image of Korea-India economic collaboration and I thank the Indian Government for its support in Hyundai Motor’s development in the Indian Market,” Chung said.
He also expressed his hope for future collaboration with India in sectors such as construction and railway to assume a more significant part in Korea-India’s mutual economic development.
The Hyundai Motor Company is a South Korean multinational auto maker headquartered in Seoul, South Korea.
The organization was established in 1967 and, along with its 32.8% owned subsidiary, Kia Motors, together include the Hyundai Motor Group, which is the world’s fifth biggest automaker taking into account yearly vehicle sales in 2012.
