Facebook responded to a lawsuit which accused the company of letting Sex Trafficking on its Social Network platform.
It says “Human Trafficking is abhorrent and is not allowed on Facebook.”

American online social media and social networking service company Facebook recently reacted to a lawsuit which accused the company of letting sex trafficking on its social network platform.
“Human trafficking is abhorrent and is not allowed on Facebook,” a spokesperson from the Facebook said.
According to an article published in Reuters, the lawsuit against Facebook was filed by a woman from Texas, US, claiming that she was lured into the sex trade at age 15 by a man who “friended” her on Facebook.
Facebook has also been subject to lawsuit cases over the years. Criticisms against the company are varied, including:
- Unsafe psychological effects on its social network users
- Cooperation with governments
- Facebook surveillance of users
- Trolling pages
- Mining User Data
