Galactic object: ESA helps spot interstellar visitor

ESA astronomer Marco Micheli working at ESA’s NEO Coordination Centre, ESRIN, near Rome, was one of the first to provide follow-up observations of object A/2017 U1 – a chunk of space rock that is suspected to be the first object ever seen passing through our Solar System from somewhere else in our galaxy!
