Former Tamil Nadu chief secretary P. Rama Mohana Rao joined Pawan Kalyan led JanaSena party.
Pawan Kalyan appointed Rao as an Advisor to the Janasena party.
Former Tamil Nadu chief secretary P. Rama Mohana Rao on Monday (11th of Feb) joined Pawan Kalyan led Janasena party.
Welcoming Ram Mohana Rao into Janasena, party President Pawan Kalyan recalled Rao’s contribution to the Tamil Nadu government and appreciated his interest in Janasena.
Following his joining, Pawan Kalyan has immediately appointed Rao as an Advisor to the party.
Speaking to media, Pawan Kalyan said, “Ram Mohan Rao was known as a great administrator and ran the AIDMK (All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam) government very effectively without any disturbance when Jayalalithaa was in the hospital.”
Mr. Kalyan also said, “Janasena will take Ram Mohan Rao’s suggestions for the people of Andhra Pradesh.”
He further said, “with the help of senior bureaucrats like Ram Mohan Rao, we will create a golden future for the state of Andhra Pradesh.”
Speaking to The News Minute, Rao said, “Jayalalithaa taught me that a politician’s heart should be with people. I think Pawan Kalyan is the same. Though he is a star, he is a people’s man.I will be with Pawan Kalyan like how I served madam Jayalalithaa.”
Mr. Rao worked closely with late Jayalalithaa during her tenure as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
Hailing from Ongole, Andhra Pradesh, Rama Mohan Rao is a 1985 batch IAS officer.
Mr. Kalyan is currently busy in forming Parliamentary committees and assigning state as well as district level tasks to the qualified personalities in his party.
A part from his focus on strengthening party’s Internal Affairs, Mr. Kalyan has also been busy in welcoming civil servants, educationalists, scientists, industrialists, economists and policy experts into his party.
Pawan Kalyan on Thursday (7th of Feb) welcomed former President APJ Abdul Kalam’s advisor V. Ponraj into Janasena and has appointed him as an advisory council member.
Educationalist (Chairman of B.V. Raju Educational Society) Vishnu Raju, economist Pentapati Pullarao, author V.V. Rama Rao, retired D.I.G Ravi Kumar Murthy, professor Sudhakar Rao and IT entrepreneur Puli Sekhar have also recently joined Janasena party.
Pawan Kalyan had previously made it clear that his party will contest in all the 175 Assembly constituencies in Andhra Pradesh and will not align with any ruling or opposition parties other than Left parties.
He also confirmed that his party will offer women and young people more opportunities.
