A liquor store in Star City Mall, New Delhi, has been opened exclusively for women to protect them from the stares, ill comments and abuses of men when they visit general liquor stores.
Normally most of the women are intimidated to visit liquor stores because of the stares and abuses from men, who look it as if women drinking alcohol is a crime. Finally, a solution has been brought by this mall in New Delhi and with this inspiration many such stores are expected to be opened in various cities soon.
This Liquor store specifically set up to serve women has protecting glass walls to protect the women who wish to consume alcohol, from conservative men. A board is put outside the store that reads ‘Exclusive Section Only For Ladies’. This liquor store exclusively for women was opened in October 2015 and it has already garnered huge attention of women.
