During a telephonic conversation on 7th of January, Russian President Vladimir Putin invited India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a main guest to the Eastern Economic Forum in September, 2019.
The Russian Embassy in India posted on its Facebook official page, “On January 7, 2019, Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi. The conversation focused mainly on bilateral cooperation and current international issues.”
“Key issues of the bilateral agenda were discussed. It is noted that the relations of traditional friendship and a special and privileged Strategic Partnership between #Russia and #India will continue to develop dynamically,” the embassy said.
It also said, “the leaders confirmed their mutual willingness to increase cooperation in fighting against international terrorism and solving other pressing world issues.”
The embassy further said, “It was agreed to continue contacts at various levels. The President of Russia invited the Prime Minister of India to take part in the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok in September 2019 as a main guest.”
