As per record of Narcotics Control Bureau, four cases were registered in the period 2015 to 2017 by various Drug Law Enforcement Agencies, in which ‘Dark Net’ was used for sale and purchase of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances.
The Information technology Act, 2000 provides legal framework for addressing all types of prevailing cybercrimes in the country. Law Enforcement Agencies take appropriate actions according to law as and when such crime comes to their notice.
This was stated by the Minister of State for Home Affairs, Shri HansrajGangaramAhir in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha today.
