Indian squad for the Australian tour to play five ODIs and 3 T20Is to be played from January 12th to 31st, has been announced and it has quite a few surprises.
Yuvraj Singh and Ashish Nehra made a comeback to the squad. The duo has only been selected for the Twenty20 International (T20I) and did not feature in the One day internationals (ODI) squad. While Yuvraj is making comeback after a gap of 2 years, Nehra is returning after 4 years to the National team.
Senior batsman Suresh Raina has been dropped from the ODI squad but was retained for the T20Is. Younger pacer Gurkeerat Singh Mann has been retained. He was first selected in the India squad for the ODI and T20I series against South Africa but he is yet to make his international debut. All-rounder Stuart Binny has been dropped from both teams. Pacers Rishi Dhawan and Barinder Singh Sran received first call-ups to the national team.
