Months ahead of the election, Cheif minister Navin Patnaik intensified his efforts to please all the sections of people in Odisha. He visited Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj on Sunday, where he disbursed sops and inaugurated a slew of projects. Addressing a farmers convention at Keonjhar, Patnaik announced a scholarship scheme for Kalia beneficiaries for pursuing higher education in professional courses.
CM also inaugurated developmental projects worth 66 crores in Keonjhar and laid the foundation stone of projects worth 2100 crore for the mineral-rich district. In Rairangpur of Mayurbhanjh, CM handed over incentives worth 21 crores to self-help groups in the public meeting held for tribal women.
Here he inaugurated welfare projects worth 45 crores, he laid the foundation stone of projects worth Rs 960 crore. Keeping in mind the need of local tribal people, the CM announced to upgrade the sub-divisional hospital into a 100-bed hospital at Rairangpur through public-private partnership mode.
