Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said the policy changes started by his government have prompted India turning into the world’s fastest growing nation.
While addressing an event at industrial town of Burnpur in West Bengal, Modi said, “during the months of February, March and April of 2014, the only news that came were scams. Coal scams, submarine scams, scams on the air, water and land.”
“It has been a year of this new government, and today we don’t have news about the coal scam, rather about coal auction,” Modi said.
“We have news about the administration exchequer getting Rs.3 lakh crore rather than the coal scam of Rs.1.74 lakh crore,” Modi said.
Modi said,”we decided that the money from the auctions won’t go to Delhi but to that state’s so that state governments can use the royalty money for welfare of that state.”
Modi additionally said the government was working on building up the three fundamental resources for funds; agricultural productivity, mineral resources and human resources.
