Capgemini focuses on American market: Capgemini to acquire iGATE for $4 billion

French IT services and consulting company Capgemini, on Monday announced the acquisition of New-Jersey based iGATE for $4 billion (3.7 billion euros).

The new deal will upgrade Capgemini’s vicinity in the North American market. iGATE derives nearly 70 per cent of its revenues from North America with clients like GE, MetLife and Royal Bank of Canada.

As understood company’s strategic intention, the acquisition will help add capabilities in analytics, BPO and engineering services.

The merger would bring an estimated revenue of 12.5 billion euros in 2015.

According to Paul Hermelin’s (Chairman and CEO of Capgemini)statement, the merger will give a new status on the American market, and take further company’s industrialization journey to offer steadily competitive to clients.
