SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘Baahubali’ has beaten every possible record of South Indian films. It has even smashed the records of many big Bollywood films. But it seems that Baahubali failed to beat one record set by Shankar directorial ‘I’. It is not about Box Office gross but number of screens.
Baahubali is now scheduled for grand release in over 5,000 screens in China in November month. This is the highest theatres record for a Telugu film. Even Aamir Khan’s PK was released in only 4000 screens. But Shankar’s I was released in nearly 10,000 screens in China, an unbeatable record, the only record that Baahubali failed to beat.
Prestigious production house E Stars Films, which released many big ticket Hollywood films in China, has acquired the Chinese distribution rights of ‘Baahubali – The Beginning’ for an undisclosed amount.
Meanwhile, the makers of Baahubali are also in negotiations with few Latin American countries to release Baahubali.
