As per the report of Society of Indian automobile Manufacturers (SIAM),car sales in India are expected to grow 3-4 per cent this fiscal.
According to the report, sales of passenger vehicles grew only 3.67 per cent in the April-December time of this financial at 18,94,932 units against 18,27,866 units in the year-prior period.
In February, car sales grew about 7 per cent.
According to the statement of SIAM’s Deputy Director General Sugato Sen, “improved consumer sentiments have helped in growth of passenger car sales.”
“March is likely to be superior to a month ago as it is generally a month of great sales,” the statement said.
