Almost all Amazon fake review “factories” or groups identified earlier are still active on Facebook.
According to a report, almost all Amazon fake review “factories” or groups identified earlier are still active on Facebook.
The Guardian reports, “nearly all of the Facebook groups it uncovered last autumn were still active this month (April, 2019).”
Fake reviews reportedly manufacture misleading Amazon product reviews. Sellers on the other hand reportedly seek persons to post positive reviews for their products after purchasing them and later refund the money, from time to time with additional sum.
Advertisers, marketers, and other stakeholders have impetus to produce fake positive user reviews for products they wish to promote or fake negative user reviews for products which they wish to disparage.
One way to prevent fake reviews is to create barriers which favor long-term identified users who understand and support community rules in a review site.
Amazon on the other hand is reportedly suing fake reviewers.
