The Andhra Pradesh government on Monday inked a partnership with Tata Trusts for local community empowerment and development of comprehensive living requirements connected with people in 264 villages in the Vijayawada region.
The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu said, Tata Trusts have acknowledged all these villages and planned and also geo-tagged them.
The particular programme promises to execute interventions within the thematic areas of fisheries, nutrition and fortification together with micro planning and village development in accordance with the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana.
“I am grateful that Tata Trusts is joining up with Andhra Pradesh by developing 264 villages. This is actually the very first time that a huge quantity of villages are being adopted. This will set a good example in the country mainly because it is going to be mentored by the business titan Ratan Tata,” Chandrababu said.
Tata Trusts chairman Ratan Tata stated the partnership with Andhra Pradesh government will be in terms of social activities, nutrition, health and creating livelihood, etc.
