Superstar Krishna‘s younger brother Ghattamaneni Adi Seshagiri Rao joined TDP in the presence of N. Chandrababu Naidu.
“Seshagiri Rao made it clear that Mahesh Babu’s support will also be with Telugu Desam Party,” Naidu said.
Telugu actor superstar Krishna’s younger brother Ghattamaneni Adi Seshagiri Rao on Thursday (7th of Feb) joined Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in the presence of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP national President N. Chandrababu Naidu.
Welcoming Seshagiri Rao into the party, Chandrababu Naidu said, “Seshagiri Rao affirmed that his brother Krishna’s blessings will be with him.”
Mr. Naidu also said, “Seshagiri Rao also made it clear that Mahesh Babu’s support will also be with Telugu Desam Party.”
He further said, “I’m welcoming fans of Krishna and Mahesh Babu into Telugu Desam Party.”
Mahesh Babu’s father Krishna was elected as a Member of Parliament for the Congress Party in 1989.
In December 2012, at the age of 69, Krishna announced his retirement from politics.
Mahesh Babu on the other hand supported his brother-in-law and TDP leader Galla Jayadev in Parliamentary elections back in 2014.
One of the wealthiest politicians in India, Galla Jayadev declared assets of ₹683 crore in the 2014 General Elections.
