On March 5, the Bahujan Samaj Party and Samajwadi Party have announced the seats for their smaller ally namely RLD (Rashtriya Lok Dal). The conference was headed by SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav and RLD Vice President Jayant Chaudhary.
The agreement held three seats from Mathura, Baghpat and Muzaffarnagar constituencies which RLD will possess. February 22, the SP had one position to accommodate RLD.
However, BSP will contest for 38 seats, SP for 37 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh. In 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, BJP has always topped leaving behind BSP and RLD over elections in Mathura, and it also managed to place itself in the top for a seat at Baghpat and Muzaffarnagar as well.
The coalition of BSP and SP also announced they would not contest on two seats of Amethi and Raebareli. It is speculated that the entry of Priyanka Gandhi had made the party think twice about their decision.
