An experiment that exposes liquids to the harsh environment outside the International Space Station is helping us determine the best material to use in making tools when exploring deep space. Since space travelers don’t have the luxury of bringing everything they need with them on long duration missions, it’s important they have the capability to make their own tools and parts in deep space.
