Renowned Amity University has proposed to set up its new campus in the upcoming capital city of Andhra Pradesh, Amaravati. The new campus of the prestigious educational institute will be open for admissions from 2017.
A delegation led by Atul Chauhan, chancellor and President of Amity University called on Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu at his residence and proposed this. He reportedly informed about the over 250 different courses that university offers across various fields.
Naidu welcomed the proposal and said that he wants to encourage best universities in the world to open their campuses in the state. He asked the delegation to use international expertise to construct the campus.
Recently A twelve-member delegation from the state Government headed by state Human Resource Development Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao, has visited Amity University to study first-hand success story of the reputed University.
Amity University is one of the much admired private universities in India, notable for quality education and disciplinary rules. The university that was founded in 2005 rapidly grew and now has 11 universities, 20 campuses and as many as 18 schools.
