A lightweight 3D-printed metal structure manufactured by the Manufacturing technology Centre in the UK. 3D printing – also known as additive manufacturing – allows parts to be produced more quickly and economically, with fewer design limits. ESA is establishing a new ‘one-stop shop’ covering 3D printing for space in partnership with MTC.
